justine victoria

Justine Victoria is an Asian-American writer, poet and an aspiring novelist based in New York. She also has experience as a mental health counselor. she received a dual Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing and Psychology at Stony Brook University.
Born in the Philippines, Justine moved to Queens, New York, at the age of 11. amidst adolescence, cultural differences, and two lives on limbo, she found the power of her pen. Through broken grammar, atrocious tense shifts, ESL classes, and bragging about love poems to her teachers in the eighth grade, she had found words to be more than just language. Learning how to write taught her how to feel — how to navigate between her two worlds.
In her writing, Justine explores the art in the ordinary and the taboo. Her projects revolve around diaspora, trauma, cultural themes, and she uses her psychology background to connect with the duties of being a human being in today’s time.
Other than reading and writing, her favorite hobbies are sitting on the grass, eating bread, and hanging out with her cat (bobby).
